Summary: Worth Every Penny
Comment: This is a great book filled with no-nonsense information. What I like about this Unleashed book in comparison to other series is it doesn't fill space about other topics other than Flash.
The step-by-step examples in this book are killer, if you need to learn ActionScript than this is the book!...
If you're new to Flash I would still consider this because some of the earlier chapters lay a great foundation - and if you're more advanced there's some great web-app features in this book, including a game chapter.
As with every book, there are a few draw backs. I was disappointed to see the drawing API wasn't covered and I wish it came with a CD-ROM instead of a web site. Still worthy of 5 stars due to the strong content in the rest of the book.

Summary: Great Flash MX Book!
Comment: I picked up this book about three weeks ago, and I can put it down. The exercises and examples in this book are written clearly, and in a way that makes sense.
It covers everything from drawing in Flash, to animation, to ActionScript, to advanced database integration. The authors clearly are masters of Flash, with all the information and knowledge in this book, it's one of the best values in Flash books.
I've watched some of the QuickTime movies on the companion web site, and they're awesome. If you're confused about a topic, these are the best way to get a clear understanding of the difficult topics. A+++
Unleashed breaks down all concepts, and makes total sense. I've used Flash 4 briefly, and now need to start working with MX for work. This book as been a tremendous help, and I would encourage anyone looking to learn Flash to pick up this book.

Summary: Great Learning Tool
Comment: Here's the deal, if you need to learn Flash MX - than this book is worth taking a look at. The way that it was written, really make topics clear. In fact, I never used Flash before and after spending about ten days with this book, I made a complete Flash web site. I can not only create animations and cool interface elements...but I UNDERSTAND actionscript. I have looked at other books, and while I don't doubt the authors know their stuff - they don't show and teach you how to use Flash like this book.
However, there are errors in this book which have held me up. I was lucky enough to have contacted the some of authors and they did answer my questions. I do give this book 5 stars for the content. If you are not good at problem solving - I regretfully have to say pass it up. Like some other Sams books the technical editors and proof readers were out to lunch.
