Summary: They should be horsewhipped
Comment: No one should be allowed to sell software that cannot communicate with versions of Word that are current. This program cannot talk to Word versions developed after 1999. I contacted the company and got a smug reply, 'you should have read the box before opening it'... Caveat emptor.

Summary: If you transcribe, you need this!
Comment: I am from Information Systems at a large hospital and have been installing the Stedman's Medical dictionary CD-ROM for almost 10 years, mainly on transcriptionists' PCs and have yet to receive a complaint. The installation is smooth, and I have yet to trip it up with standard transcription medical terminology. The Drug names are current as of the CD's publication, but will begin to outdate within a year. The only problem that I have encountered is the wait time for shipping, but I think this is mainly due to the corporate shakeups at Williams and Wilkins, i. e., buying and selling the company. However, the quality, ease of setup and use, and the satisfaction it brings to a transcriptionist's face make it well worth the wait.
