Summary: Very believable stories, well written, but Christian bent.
Comment: These stories are written very believably. They are also not older stories, nor are they ones you've probably heard or read before (some of these type of books seem to take and re-print previously published stories, and the reader is not sure if they are "urban myths", as they are often re-printed and not attributed to an author). These stories are all attributed to authors, and seem very inspired and current. Please keep in mind though, that most of them seem to have a "Christian bent" (with titles like "A POPE'S BLESSING,A CHRISTMAS PRAYER, or some stories--several actually--speaking of Sundays at church, Christmas happenings, as in HELEN'S GIFT, etc.)
If you are not someone who would be deterred, put off or offended by this, then the stories are inspirational, solid and believable. I myself am a Jew, not very religious, although spiritual, and even I am liking the stories but still finding them a little hard to keep getting past the "Christian-speak". I should have had an inkling of this, considering the author's previous books, but none of the reader reviews, nor the edit review gave an indication that this was the case.
That all being said, I love to read stories of inspiration, and as stated previously, these stories are (mostly) all pretty strong/well-written. I just wanted any potential readers/buyers to know this information previous to purchasing this book.

Summary: An Inspiring Gift
Comment: The true stories told by the authors in their latest book about miracles are an inspiration for the reader. I looked forward to this latest book in their series on miracles and was not disappointed. After reading it, I bought several more copies to give as gifts.

Summary: This book was truly a miracle
Comment: My co-authors and I have now had a total of five miracle books published, but this last book in the series has been an emotional one for us. Just when we agreed to do our last book on the mysterious and wonderful things that happen when our loved ones die, and how the bonds of love,the feeling of closeness, and the communication can continue, Laura was re-diagnosed with breast cancer. The entire time we worked on these stories, we knoew Laura was dying, and it gave us tremendous comfort to read story after story of the miracle of endless love. Laura herself was deeply comforted, and secure in the knowledge that she was headed towards a wonderful place. She died on November 4, just a few weeks after Heavenly Miracles was published. Jamie and I will miss her deeply, but we treasure the time we've spent together on these books. Enjoy the stories in Heavenly Miracles, and may they be a comfort to you, too.
