Summary: It is a touching story worth reading
Comment: Patchwork Summer is a moving tale about the relationship of a daughter and a mother, who has just recently arrived back. Randi, the daughter, was left in charge of Meggie, or Megan, her little sister, her father and the house. When Marilyn, their mother, comes back, saying that she has finally found herself, Randi is determined to show her that she and the family don't need her. This was an excellent book and I'd say it is appropiate for all children. Our class, 7B of Warrigal Road State School, taught by Mrs Artemieff, has just finished reading it.

Summary: I really enjoyed reading the book, It was very interesting.
Comment: I thought this book was very interesting, specialy how Randi was put incharge of Meggie and the house and all the work. I thoght that it was very mean what Maralyn (Randi's mum) did to the family I whould feel the same way as Randi if my mum or dad did that to me, but I know they wouldn't. My favourite part of the book was when the grandmother and Maralyn were fighting and arguing. I reccomend this book to ages 8 and over it's a book with alot curosity.

Summary: It wasn't the best book I've read but it wasn't the worst.
Comment: I thought the book was a diffrent way of looking at life but it had a pretty boring ending. I also liked how the author put letters in it.
