Summary: Cici's Wild Summer
Comment: Oh my, that was an awesome mystery book! I loved reading the story, figuring it out - clue by clue. The author tried to get a little romance in the story, that made it a little more interesting. I'm glad I could read a book that was scary, and still be able to finish it. If you started this story, you wouldn't want to put this book down. I would have to say I could not be as brave as Cici, the main character. I give this book five stars. Does it make you want to read this story? If someone said this story was a five star book, it must be a Great Book.
This story is about a fifteen-year-old girl who goes through her summer having a crush on an older boy, Jack. Cici's summer is supposed to be fun, (as She thought it was going to be) until she heard the bad news. Cici being thought of an older person would make the summer even better. What Cici doesn't know is that she gets to the cabins with her family, she might not have the best summer, she had expected. Cici is trying to find what had happen when the murder had taken place and why there was a murder. All the people that have gone to the summer lake cabins were all so close. (More like family)
I would recommend this book to anyone. Maybe a little older than 10 to understand what the story is all about, or maybe being mature enough to handle what the story has in sight. It was a Great story; the description felt as if I was watching a movie. I had loved this murder story. Maybe you would too.

Summary: Great Juvenile Summer Mystery
Comment: In this first-person mystery, 14-year-old Cecelia "Cici" Linden returns with her mother and sister to their regular summer vacation spot at Crystal Lake--only to discover that during the previous summer they were absent, one of their neighbors (16-year-old Zoe Cyrek) was supposedly murdered by another young neighbor, Brody Shurik (the older brother of Jake, who Cici has a crush on). A few people--namely Brody's family--don't believe he's guilty of Zoe's death, but that isn't evidence enough to release him from prison. So, out of loyalty to Jake and his family, Cici attempts to uncover the one-year-old summer murder mystery, but after some amateur sleuthing, Cici fearfully realizes that the killer may be someone very close to her, possibly someone in her own family.
In addition to the hint of danger in Cici's life, there's an added bit of romance between Cici and Jake as she tries to get him to treat her more like an adult, possibly even as a girlfriend, instead of the young brat he remembers from summers past. Overall, I thought "Twisted Summer" was a very good juvenile mystery. The ending wasn't too terribly surprising, but this is still a great summer read for preteen girls.

Summary: Boring Summer
Comment: The book is not as bad as some I've read, but the plot is pretty predictable and the ending leaves a lot to be desired. If you want a good mystery I would read a book by Caroline B. Cooney, such as Wanted! or Losing Christina.
