Summary: Haibib
Comment: This book Habibi is a really good read, byNaomi, I recommend this book for seventh grade and up. At times this book was very confusing, so I think that it would be hard for sixth graders. A fourteen year old, named Lyiana had to move out of the USA to Israel for her Dad's family. Lyiana has to leave all of her friends and family behind to meet her Dad's side of the family in Israel. After a few weeks she meats a boy named Omar, they become very close friends. Lyiana has a hard time understanding her dads mother. Lyiana has a hard time understanding what she is saying. From all of these problems Lyiana's Dad gets sent to jail for breaking laws for his own rights. Also Lyiana is having a very difficult time understanding her new language at her school. Omar helps Lyiana with all of her problems at school, and with her problems with her family. Lyianas little brother is having a good time fitting in with other students at his school because he is at a non advanced school.

Summary: The Best of Both Worlds
Comment: This book is a real eye-opener, especially for those who are finding it difficult to 'identify' themselves, I belevive that 'Habibi' takes on a more realistic approach to life and the troubles and insecurities that one faces in such a situation which many people have to come to terms with at some point in time.
Memorable characters and a story that can be enjoyed time and time again by both young and old alike.
