The poems are simple, no big words (often the reason why it is called a chilren book). But the themes are innocently brilliant. Why do we cut down hundred foot trees to make us dwarf? This is just one question Milligan asks. And you'll find a lot of them. For those who have loved his Goon books, his memoirs on the second world war - well you know what to expect. It'll take you half an hour to read this book, but you'll spend at least 5 more hours rereading it.
