Comment: Another classic by Herriot, a must for fans. Although dated, Herriots humour is timeless. His vivid imagery pulls the reader into the Yorkshire of the early 70's. His descriptive powers give this book vibrancy. Essentially a diary of a vets life. His triumphs (Mrs. Bonds cats) and tribulations (the horse-show and Tristian). Somehow the tribulations are more enjoyable.....
