Summary: Poorly written
Comment: The author should stick to sea photography. This sorry attempt at what he calls an honest autobiography is nothing but a collection of thoughts written by a careless, self-absorbed individual. It is unfortunate that as the author writes, he leaves his wreckage in the laps of many of the precious people who were and are in his life. (It is a curious thing that they are not permitted to respond to his accounts). Sady, one walks away from reading this book wondering if Douglas Faulkner will ever know what real love is because from his own words, it is quite obvious that he knows nothing about real love and the things that come with it. His memories are clouded not only by time, but by many things he has experienced. We wish him well. But most especially, we hope he finally gets to live and experience real love.
