Summary: Very satisfying read
Comment: Psychologist Alex Delaware, now a full-time consultant to the Los Angeles Police Department and his friend Milo Sturgis are called into a homicide investigation. It looks like a lover's lane murder. Two kids, clothing undone, both with bullet holes in their heads. But his psychology training tells Alex that something is wrong with that picture. The sharp post stuck through the woman's chest speaks of anger and intention. As they can't identify the woman, though, Milo and Alex begin investigating the young man.

Gavin Quick had been in a personality-changing auto accident and was seeing a psychologist--a woman who had lost another client to murder a year earlier. Alex's instincts tell him that something is wrong, that coincidence does not explain these facts. Still, there is something deeper going on and Milo and Alex have plenty of time to explore every lead.

Author Jonathan Kellerman creates a twisty and involved thriller. Although THERAPY lacks the emotional punch of some of Kellerman's early child-abuse mysteries, the story exposes Kellerman's talent for connecting pieces together to gradually unveil a larger conspiracy. Nothing is as it initially seems to be and some of the nicest people in the story turn out to be much worse than they appear.

THERAPY combines a bit of psychological profiling with police investigation and with exciting action to add up to a very satisfying read.

Summary: Kellerman's Back In Form
Comment: This is the best Jonathon Kellerman book in years. The beginning pulls you in, and the twists and turns and surprises of the plot keep you engrossed and guessing til the end. Due to his background he knows the ins and outs of psychology thoroughly, and does not hesitate to show its seamy underbelly, laced with the other more conventional criminal activity, in this fascinating book.
And the best Kellerman books are fun because they are so L.A. - anyone who does not wear designer clothes, have a perfect physique and drive a beamer is immediately presumed guilty of something. This book actually plays with that concept in one of its characters - I won't tell more, for fear of spoiling the book- but this character turns out to be one of the most touching individuals I've seen in any of his books. That character stayed with me after I stopped reading, and I hope he reappears in another Delaware book.
Even Delaware's girlfriend is starting to show a little personality in this book, which has never happened before with any of his girlfriends. And we have a hint of a potential "cat fight" between Allison and Robyn, which would really add spice to the next book, if it happens.
Looking forward to the next Delaware installment.

Summary: Great reading!!
Comment: Detective Sturgis and LAPD psychology consultant Alex Delaware and his friend are curiously pulled into a double homicide. I like the straight forward no-nonsense police procedural style, but I also liked the twists and turns in the plot. I think I would have liked more clues, but the antagonist identity is delayed a little too long. This is minor as the plot and character development are top notch. At times funny, at times philosophical, at times sad, always thought provoking and always interesting. I consider this a really good read. As good as James Patterson's works.

If you like a good conspiracy... then check out these books also: I just read a copy of Edgar Fouche's 'Alien Rapture,' which astounded me. Fouche was a Top Secret Black Program 'insider', whose credibility has been verified over and over. Want to be shocked, check out Dr. Paul Hill's 'Unconventional Flying Objects' which NASA tried to ban, and always read the Amazon reviews.
