Summary: A current Ranger's review
Comment: Russ Bryant is a friend of mine and fellow photographer, though he's much better at producing images than I am, any day! He shot many of the images in this book of my initial Ranger school class, 02-02, before I broke my foot (twice!) and finished with 04-02. His images are absolutely excellent. What is missing in most of the body of Ranger literature is imagery, and Russ has filled the gap nicely. I'm always glad to see him at one of our events and steal photographic tips from him. He has done the Rangers well with this proud, accurate, contemporary, and extremely visually appealing book. Rangers Lead The Way!

Summary: Wow!
Comment: I loved this book. If I was an Army recruiter, I'd have a copy of it on hand 24 hours a day. It would seal the deal with any prospective Ranger. The photos make this book, and each one is worth at least a thousand words in telling you about the blood, sweat and tears that go into becoming a Ranger. I showed this book to my dad, who passed up the opportunity to become a Ranger while in the Army in the 1950s, and the glorious photos of Ranger paratroopers made him relive the heartbreak and the "What If?" feelings. This book is a combination adrenaline rush and memorial to the sacrifice of these elite soldiers.
