Now in a completely updated second edition, the African-American Encyclopedia is an outstanding set which should be a mainstay of any serious ethnic history collection: it represents a complete revision of the original 1993 6-volume set, provides entries on well over three thousand topics, and updates material on civil rights, history and social issues. New and modified headings make it easier to locate information, while more than half of the entries have been rewritten. Simply outstanding.
