Rating: 5
Summary: Great book beginners to advanced - tables + jigs plans
Comment: This is among the best woodworking books I have ever owned. It has very complete instructions for every router operation imaginable and lots of jigs/fixture and table plans to make this a one-stop source for all router info. Also found it very readable - I have to admit I read woodworking books and manuals like others read fiction - this one is well organized and well written. Don't buy any other router manual until you have looked at this one.

Summary: Best wood working book in my library
Comment: As a hobbyist, most woodworking books aren't written in a style that is intuitive to me. I'm happy to say that this book is the exception.
This book is a joy to read. It's written in a style that is exceptionally straightforward and sensible. Unlike other titles in this genre, this text is exceptionally complete - I think beginners and advanced router enthusiasts will find it equally insightful.
Although I have to admit that I am a beginner, I can't imagine there is anything you would find lacking in this book's content.
The diagrams are superb, and the content is comprehensive.
Kudos to the authors for writing an excellent book that has helped demystify this topic so painlessly!

Summary: Great book!! 6 stars...no 10
Comment: I have never used a router, (I ordered the Bosch twin deal,- from Amazon, of course- fixed and plunge...not yet arrived) and I bought this book which came first (on Friday night and it showed up on Monday!!! -nice job amazon). I have all of those beginner questions and many were answered in ten pages. Of course, I have many more that I am sure will be answered in the next 300 pp. This book, the writers, are obviously very, very eperienced woodworkers/craftsmen. It is great...better than great. The Taunton press books, are for the most part, a waste of money and time.
