Fireworks MX is a powerful program. However, it is not the most user-friendly for beginners. I purchased Fireworks and tried to learn by "trial and error" for a while--to no avail.

I purchased this book several months later, and I have so far been able to find within its pages the answer to every Fireworks question I have had.

The book is over 900 pages in length, but the index and system of organization make information easy to find. There is also a generous number of screen shots to demonstrate the described techniques.
