Summary: Inaccurate and not well written
Comment: The text includes many factual errors regarding Win32 API. It appears to have been written by people that know Win16 but have not fully explored Win32. For example, authors describe how you should test hPrevious to see if it is necessary to register your window classes. Win32 does not support hPrevious as it did in Win16. While the example code works the reader is mislead.
Authors also describe structure members as record fields. Sounds like they are Pascal programmers, not C/C++ programmers which is the intended audience for the book.
I would not recommend. In fact, I returned the book and suggested Encore remove it from the book shelves. Petzold's book is much better.
