Summary: Christian wisdom
Comment: For over 20 years I have worked with the Communicative Approach which is the basis of the Deeper Intelligence. Not once, has the material contradicted the Bible. In some cases I have treated it has helped remove obstacles that blocked people from accepting Christ as their saviour. It has also helped some people of faith have a more loving relationship with God. Well worth the time to learn about the language that the Deeper Intelligence uses to talk to us.

Harold S. Schaus, Jr., M.S., DAPA

Two time president of the International Society for Communicative Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy

Summary: A Must Read!
Comment: The Deeper Intelligence explains simply by examples powerful and complex psychological phenomena without intellectualization, shows how conscious feeling differs from unconscious perception, deals with "resistance" to therapy interpretations that bring healing, and even includes a chapter about the practical existential spiritual ground of the awesome unconscious mind. The book reaches out to everyone who is interested in the science and truth about the human person's potential for healing, growth, developement, and a fuller, happier life. Bravo, Dr. Andrew G. Hodges, M.D.!

Summary: Very helpful in understand others.
Comment: This is obviously cutting edge material. I found this book very interesting and applicable to my own practice of medicine. One facet of the book that helped me relates to patients giving 'illogical reasons' for doing something. Dr. Hodge's treatise on this unraveled some of the conundrums facing clinicians who have to sort through a stream of seemingly contradictory statements. This book has taught me to listen to the deeper voice more intently and to allow it to speak to me in hopes of helping the patient. For those interested in understanding the most delightfully baffling creatures on the earth, this book is a must.
