Summary: Quick reading, learned a lot
Comment: I never expected to like this book so much. It read fast and was pretty funny in parts. It gave me some good tips on how to improve my memory for names, places, numbers, etc. I learned a lot about things to do to protect against Alzheimer's disease and also about new drugs and treatments to help stop memory loss, that are available now or on the way. This is a great book, and I'm glad I read it in my 40's while I still have plenty of time to do stuff to protect my brain.

Summary: A Must-Read for People of All Ages
Comment: The Memory Bible is just what the doctor ordered -- Dr. Gary Small, that is. It should be required reading for anyone over 25 who doesn't want to buy into the myth that memory loss is an inevitable consequence of aging. I like that he begins with a simple memory assessment that lets you focus a program of memory training that fits your needs and lifestyle. He gives practical tips on what you can do to improve your memory now, ranging from a healthy-brain diet to mental aerobics and simple stress-reduction techniques. Dr. Small's fascinating research on early detection of brain aging gives us hope that new discoveries to stave off memory loss and Alzheimer's disease are just around the corner. The sooner we read The Memory Bible and start Small's memory fitness program, the better, because it's a whole lot easier to prevent brain cell damage than reverse it. The book is fun to read and has interesting stories and case studies.

Written with elegance and assurance, Gary Small presents a multitude of strategies for improving memory. These aren't 'tricks' that work only in the short term. They are exercises that result in sustained enhancement. I wanted to send this impressive text to several of my friends, so I bought extra copies. Unfortunately, I left them on the counter and I can't remember the shop's name or address. In fact, I've even forgotten what I was going to write nex...
