Summary: Catherine & Heathcliff
Comment: This is the Wuthering Heights of the fantasy genre. Yes, it's DARK; No, there's not much 'action' and swords, but SO WHAT? It's an incredible piece of psychological fantasy literature that you can read and enjoy over the age of 12 and be blown away. IS there a more engaging portrait of an anti-hero? The end of the third book breaks your heart -- but more importantly this trilogy is about the human psyche, ambition, love, greed, power, and the human soul. I thought the Chronicles were OK, but this trilogy made me lose my entire mind. Make fun of D&D nuts everywhere, but this will make you EAT your thoughts/words.
There's no saccharine ending here, folks -- it's tragedy in the grand fulfilling sense of the word. It's life.
If you've cut your teeth on the likes of George RR Martin, Robin Hobb, Tad Williams, & Stephen R. Donaldson, this series is a PLEASANT and fabulous surprise. We've all been there -- whether your disillusioned like Crys, or bound & determined for revenge like Raist, there's a little bit of both of them in ALL of us. Which, of course, is the general theme.
And as for the "Was Raistlin really inlove?' debates.... oh PLEASE, you mean to tell me you buy the whole Cameron/Tika, Sturm/Alhana, Silvara/Gilthanas -- hello, let's fall inlove in all of five minutes relationships, but Crys and Raist leave you WONDERING? Grow up, read this, grieve, grow up some more, and read this flippin' series again.

Summary: A brother's love...
Comment: Like all of the books written by W&H it is great. Any Caramon and Raistlin fan should check this series out. It takes place directly after the chronicles series, and is full of the energy, excitement, and trauma that Wies and Hickman are great at. Plus the books have Tas in them, so you know they will be good. I highly recommend this book, and the rest of the series to any dragonlance, or fantasy book reader. It really brings Raist and Cam into a new light, seeing parts of them that you have never seen before.Including the bond that the twins really do have, and what can come between it. These books are a little confusing at first, but once you get into them, and figure out what is going on, they are a smooth and fun read. Throughout the book, Raistlin is planning something big. While I wont blow it here, it is definately a plan of mass proportions. Caramon and a dark haired cleric are also part of this plan. But will Raistlin's ambitions finally open Caramon's eyes? Read and find out...this book and the whole series is a definate must!

Summary: a little slow in the middle, but good
Comment: Time of the Twins is the first book in the dragolance trilogy legends. It takes place two years after the war of the lance; the races in the land are coming to peace and the dragon armies are scattered, but this book really isn't about that, it's about Raistlin and Caramon, the twins who are nothing alike. There is also Tasslehoff and a new face Crysania, revered daughter of Paladine. Time of the twins, starts off rather slow and tons of information is tossed out, information which is pretty important in the story. Time of the twins is less action-adventure and more dramatic than that of the chronicles, which I enjoy way more, Time of the Twins that is. This book is also way better than anything the chronicles came out with. It's more mature, theres more character development (largely due to the fact that there are only 4 main characters instead of 8 or 9), and the actually characters are more fun to read about, than that of the chronicles. But there are some things which I didn't like, as a matter of fact, I thought were absolutly ridiculous. Such as the direction the of story, After they all went back in time, it felt like it was to slow and pointless. The whole Caramon attracted to the gladiator girl was pointless, pretty much the whole thing with Caramon in the gladiator school was pointless, other than him getting pumped up. I think the only reason why this part was in the book is because Weis and hickman needed to throw some action into this adventure or they had to have some one get captured, it's their trademark. Whatever reason was, the part was to long and nothing really can out of it, which made the book drag.
All in all this book was pretty good, Raistlin was cool, caramon was very interesting, in the beginning....and the end, I guess. If you have read the chronicles already and like them, this is the next book, so have-at-it.
