Summary: A Definite Page Turner
Comment: Deadly Embrace was definitely the better of Jackie Collins' Madison Castelli (the story's heroine) series (see L.A. Connections and Lethal Seduction) She created a very likable character in Michael, Madison's father, who we learn much more about his history and his life. Also she created, my personal favorite, Vincent Castle, Michael's son and Madison's half-brother. Vincent had a mafia leader presence to him but he wasn't into the stereotypical mafia things (ex: drugs, hookers, cheating). He was a refreshing character with that presence not only in some of her books and other books, but also on T.V.
This was my frist Jackie Collins novel. Even though it has 545 pages, they flew by quickly. I read the book in three days, as is the same time frame with the other books I have read after this. Thanks Jackie. I await your next novel, while in the meantime I devour the handful of your novels that I still haven't read.

Summary: HANDS DOWN THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!!!
Comment: I am a male reader who decided to give Jackie Collins a try. And boy she didn't disappoint! This book had everything I was looking for in a good read and more. It was so good that I had cut back on most of my activites just to finish it. Once you began reading you WILL NOT be able to put it down. It's fast-paced, exciting, and unpredictable. Michael Castelli/Castellino is the best character ever written. He's everything I wish I could be and more! I hope Collins writes more about him in the future. I am now buying all of Jackie Collins books, cause she has just recieved herself a new loyal fan in me.

Summary: Is Michael and Madison another Gino and Lucky?
Comment: I love Jackie Collins' books because they are purely entertainment. I gave this one 4 stars because it does not compare to Chances (her best book ever) but as I said before, if you are looking for a quick, entertaining read then you do not have to go any further than Jackie Collins. She always deliver wacky characters with major problems that somehow get resolved in the end. This story explores more of Madison's background. It focuses on her father who was accused of killing Madison's real mother and who is keeping a secret (he has another family in Vegas) from Madison. I can't help but think that Madison is another version of Lucky. Both Lucky and Madison are beautiful, dark-haired independent women who lose their mother at an early age in tragic circumstance but they still have their father who try to control their lives by shielding them from certain truths. Lucky for us, Madison is also a feisty women who has her own ideas on how to survive in a male-dominated world. The book goes back and forth between all major players in Michael and Madison's world and ties up neatly in the end when everyone learns about each other. The only thing that I would have liked to see in this book would have been more on Madison's boyfriend. He was mentioned once or twice but that was it.
