Summary: Christianity, brains required
Comment: This book is an enjoyable read. It is a series of essays on christian topics from truth, evangelism, new age and secularism. But the chapter that was such a delight for me was "Misology in the Pulpit". It is a challenge to pastors to incorporate apologetics in their sermons. So often christianity is thought of as a faith and no brains religion. As a young college student I find this assumption disturbing. He suggests how wonderful it would be if when we go to church on Eastar instead of hearing "He is risen!", we hear "He is risen, and this is the proof". I have often left church totally unchallenged, with nothing to meditate on. I think that there are alot of people in churches who would love to hear their religion explained with relevance in a secular culture. This book is a step in the right direction.
