Summary: All You Need to Know About Analysis of Ordinal Data
Comment: This book by Hildebrand is a little gem that I recently discovered in the course of looking up other information. At less than 100 pages, the book is easily overlooked on library shelves, but proves that great things come in small packages. The author presents a clear, concise, and practical exposition of how to analyze ordinal data, and what to do with the results. There is plenty of math for the mathematically inclined, but plenty of practical examples so that non-mathematical researchers can easily perform good analysis of ordinal data. Professional statisticians would, of course, prefer more technical detail, but for those of us "in the trenches" who need to know how to apply statistics, this text is invaluable. I liked the book so much, I bought a copy. What more can I say?
