Summary: Brilliant! Stunning! Dance Photography
Comment: This calendar captures some of the best of Lois Greenfield's work. For those of you who are not familiar with it, Greenfield's forté is breathtaking dance photography. More specifically, she has honed the art of capturing movement, and made it and art form unto itself.
In her work, dancers are frozen in midair. Indeed, her pictures seem not to capture the dance... they are somehow a still, two-dimensional dance all themselves. Greenfield is not merely photographer, she is a choreographer of silence, of stillness.
Her work is intricate, precise, athletic, geometric, beautiful. Dancers magically float parallel to the ground, seemingly balanced on another dancer's head. Dancers spring forth, ripe with potential energy that lies perpetually untapped in her 2D world.
This is wonderful for fans of photography, dance, movement, life, and time.
I sorta liked it.

Comment: Lois Greenfield's photography is beautifully shown in this calendar. The human form is extended beyond the page as if it is sharing the air we breathe. Movement has been captured in these pages defying the existence of time. Indeed 'Breaking Bounds' does just what the title says.
