Summary: A breath of fresh air
Comment: Antonio Donghi's book is like a breath of fresh air in liturgical reflection. He writes simply yet effectively. When least expected his words plunge into the heart of the reader seeking a response. As one in study reads to gain knowledge and understanding it is also refreshing to find the gift of conviction and wisdom. l am sure it will be read and re-read in time to come. God bless and thank you to Antonio for this treasure.

Summary: Good basic introduction to liturgical action
Comment: This is one of two studies on ritual action that I easily recommend to interested laity (as opposed to liturgists). In the 24 actions, Donghi covers all the common gestures. Donghi is firmed rooted in the post-Vatican II church - thinking to include being seated and listening in his actions. That it to say that the actions of the assembly are not considered as ancillary to the Eucharist but as a significant action in their own rights.
