The text is written for those with little background in ecology yet is detailed enough not to be vague for those familiar with the science and with Minnesota. It was required reading in some ecology classes at the Univ. of Minnesota, yet is sits well as a coffee table book.

A darn good book for those wanting to know about the natural history of Minnesota. Big pictures. Was required reading in some ecology classes at the University of Minnesota, yet sits well as a coffee table book.
