Rating: 4
Summary: Great background and history
Comment: The history and background of Zen as presented is excellent. I found it highly educational though somewhat difficult to follow at times. It just requires focused, concetrated reading. I was somewhat skeptical of the final section of the book, especially the Zen thoeries on economics. I thought that the author seemed to be stretching a bit to really get meaning from Zen philosophies and how they should apply to the modern world. But most of it was very good. Definitely worth some study time.
