Summary: Huygens' Principle
Comment: This is apparently the only book of its kind--comprehensively but briefly covering the mathematics, problems, and history of Huygens' Principle. However, ultimately it focuses on the frequency domain formulation and does not address unresolved issues in the time-space formulation: For example, the problems of the 'wake' and the 'backward wave' are not discussed in conjunction with spherical impulsive (Dirac) wavelets which are considered to be the Green's function for the wave equation.
