Summary: Writing under the skin.
Comment: This book is how I discovered James Purdy and it left me wanting for more (in a good way). This is not at all a comfortable book. Mr. Purdy writes about everyday feelings, occurences and thoughts, but they are the ones no one else wants to talk about. We keep them to ourselves because no one like to feel "unsettled"

"Color of Darkness, Don't Call Me By My Right Name and A Good Woman" are a few of my favorites.
