Summary: In Ms. Mason's comfort zone
Comment: Connie Mason's second installment to her Rogue series aspires to be no more than an entertaining caper that will gratify her league of fans. A flat-out predictable plot involving Earl of Braxton, Ramsey Dunsmere who is recruited back to the Foreign Offices to seduce his estranged wife, daughter to an Egyptian archaeologist Phoebe Thompson serves as the platform for plenty of hot sizzling interludes. He is to reclaim back an amulet which is crucial to the diplomatic relations between Egypt and England. Ms. Mason's mastery at weaving passion and tension salvages this otherwise prolonged romance and the frustration from their unresolved conflicts on trust and commitments. It is definitely a book in Ms. Mason's comfort zone - safe but none too surprising.

Summary: Not worth the paper it was printed on!
Comment: The heroine of this book annoyed me. I can't believe Connie Mason could not come up with a better reason for Phoebe leaving Ramsey! The reason she left him was stupid, and the fact that she did leave him over it was even more stupid. If she really loved him like she said why did she not confront him and demand an explaination? She just decides to leave and never look back. And the trust she put in David, it astounds me that anyone could be this stupid! I have not read a book this lousy in a long time, and believe me I have read a few. The Rouge and the Hellion I thought was bad, but this book takes the cake. I am a huge fan of Connie Mason but this book..... The plot was predictabale. I don't see what Ramsey saw in Phoebe at all. She was spineless, selfish, and a coward. I hate when author's write and make the heroine of their books stupid. I will have to agree with reeses_pieces and say this was not one of Connie Mason's best at all. Like I said Connie Mason is one of my favorites authors, but if she writes anymore books like this one she will loose me as a reader.

Summary: Predictable but...it's still Connie Mason ;-)
Comment: Book 2 of The Rogues of London series by Connie Mason introduces us again to Ramsey Dunsmore, Earl of Braxton. The Foreign Office has called upon him for his help in finding a valuable amulet that the Egyptian government wants back. In order to avoid an international political disaster, he is enlisted to seduce Phoebe Thompson in order to find out where the amulet is.
Phoebe Thompson, who has only recently returned to London after 4 years in Egypt, is desperately searching for her Egyptologist father who is missing. Not only that, he is being accused of taking the amulet.

SEDUCED BY A ROGUE does not have a prologue and it is desperately in need of one. There is a lot that has happened that the reader has to catch up on quickly, without the benefit of knowing these characters and why it is likely they might have fallen in love with each other in the first place. Ramsey and Phoebe were married four years ago, but they only shared one night of marital bliss before their entire relationship comes crashing down around them. A close friend convinces Phoebe that Ramsey is a womanizer and she leaves him immediately to go with her father to Egypt, not to return until 4 years later.

The story is very predictable, and the characters very one-dimensional. It's light and fun reading, but there are no surprises here. Without the benefit of a prologue or backing the story up four years, much of the development of this couple is missing.
