Summary: A fresh approach to the Sacrament of Reconciliation!!
Comment: This book was truly an eye-opener for me. I completed the RCIA process and became Catholic at Easter 2001. I was cognizant of what "Confession" was, but only from the point of my being forgiven and absolved of my sins...then trodding on my merry way to probably commit the same sins again. Knight stresses a real examination of conscience, in which you analyze the root of what causes the sin, not just the sin itself. Knight does an excellent job of incorporating forgiveness and absolution in with two other real "elements" of Reconciliation--reforming one's life by being truly sorry; and rebuilding bonds of trust within the community--the Body of Christ. This book has led me to experience God's grace in a way previously unknown to me!! I recommend this book to new Catholics and cradle Catholics alike.
