Summary: Good, wholesome childhood fun
Comment: I had this book as a child, and I greatly enjoyed it. The adventures of Jeremy and his sister Damaris leading the children of the Kingdom of Altrue was great fun. I especially enjoyed their friend Judd. The final twist where Jeremy and Damaris learn that Grandmother is not quite so old as they had thought is also pleasing. Even though it has been years since I read this book, I can still remember it. It is an old-fashioned story of good vs. evil, with the villains being soundly defeated at the end. It is not quite George MacDonald, but it is light-hearted fun.
