Summary: Best single reference for CLEP
Comment: If you are exploring the CLEP and want to buy just one book, this is it. Unlike some other preparation books, this one has 20-50 sample questions for ALL the available tests. It also lists topics covered in the test, and an estimate of the percentage of the test devoted to each topic. One effective strategy for using this book is to take the sample tests, without studying, in the subjects you know something about, and then pursue the ones you do best on. The book gives the correct answers for each sample question, but does not provide explanations or instruction in the subject.

Summary: could use more sample questions
Comment: This book is a very good overview of what to expect on both the Clep subject and general exams. It goes into depth on test timing, scoring, and score averages. It has sample questions from every test; as well as the break down of question subject matter. It goes a little bit into test strategy, and touches on about everything you need to know. I recommend it to people who have never taken a Clep exam, or are not sure if a Clep exam is right for them. I do wish it had more sample questions for each exam.
