Comment: Benner (the real name) is more known for his Impersonal Life classic, which I keep re-reading over and over to get better insight.
However, this book, Way to the Kingdom, will in a simpler language SOOO impress upon on you the importance of not allowing, not only thoughts that don't agree with the Truth (which is that there is only Abundance and Health), but also Feelings, into your consciousness. You will walk away from your first reading of the chapter: "As a Man Thinketh from his Heart", with the Knowing, not a flimsy belief, but the Knowing that you've always had it! You've always had the Way to the Kingdom. And that is the complete, to the level of your Soul and Heart consciousness, KNOWING that the secret to finally entering your own Heaven is the simple, but yes difficult, decision to not allow any non-Truth feelings or thoughts of guilt, anger, poverty, envy, self-pity, etc thoughts into your consciousness with any length of attention.
Yes, you've heard it before, but not in such a soul-enriching way as Benner's/Jennings book. And the thing is, he's one of the few spiritual writers who emphasizes the Feeling state you're in, versus just thinking Rightly. It's so important to watch how you're vibrating overall. Any bad feelings are false and are of this world.
Appearances don't matter! Your intellect of course wants your attention and to make you believe that outside appearances matter.
You will be reminded that that the "tramp" thoughts on which you allow your attention to remain are really just selfish thoughts, and that just reflect your own doubt about the Father in you.
As you succeed in "letting His Love motivate and vitalize every one [your thoughts] of them, so that they may be worthy and acceptable in the Father's sight," you will then be cleared of that gunk and be able to hear the voice from the Divine Mind that tells you how to act, what to say, and what to do in order to experience the Heaven and abundance that is naturally yours.
He will convince you that Life is as simple now, as it was then -- 1933 - and that is to "yield your consciousness over wholly to Him, so that no thoughts ever enter your mind that are not all beautiful, all good and all perfect."
There is no reason not to.
We're all beams of light, individualized from the One Light, who have forgotten WHO WE ARE. We'd rather adopt our beliefs and attitudes and illusions from the news or the latest reality-based show, than to really listen to what's inside. If you really listen to what comes from inside the next time you're in a quiet room, you'll be able to tell what is True and what is a false belief handed over to you that you accepted.
