Summary: Excellent book on folk magic
Comment: Cunningham is an inspiring writer, and "Earth, Air, Fire, and Water" is another gem. This is the first book I read on magic, and I was drawn to the spells immediately. It helps connect the reader with the Earth in such a beautiful manner, while using the four elements as the main ingredient in magic.

The spells are incredibly simple, and forces the practicing reader to use more of their own energy instead of relying on complex ritual. Simplicity all the way. This is what I love most about the book...if you are a beginner, it introduces an excellent guide to folk magic. However, if you are a practiced witch, it brings you back to the basics.

As far as I can recall, Cunningham never announces that "all magic is beautiful and good." I feel like his writings are examples of the good things you can accomplish, should you choose. Why practice harm when you can bring blessings with your energy?

Magic can be simplified to this: All magic is energy. The user has the choice to concentrate their energy for good, or bad.

Summary: This is a "five star" book.
Comment: Well I can not help the person that marks this review unfavorable before reading the review. However I find all the reviews polarized. Right on the front cover of this book are the words "More Techniques of Natural Magic." This is an extension of "Earth Power : Techniques of Natural Magic" ISBN: 0875421210. It never clamed to be a beginner or a stand-alone end-all-be-all book. I am personally using it as an extension of "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" ISBN: 0875421849, the real place to start. For those people starting from near ground zero with the Solitary Practitioner behind them this will keep you going. For those people in the know, it never hurts to find a book that tells you what you know in a different way.

Now for some practical review information:

. Includes more than 75 spells, rituals and ceremonies

. Provides detailed instructions for designing your own magical spells

. Instills a sense of wonder concerning our planet and our lives

. Promotes a natural, positive practice that anyone can successfully perform

Summary: think about it...
Comment: I think it was a very baaaaad book. Although I haven't read it. But, enough about the book. I have this cute little cat. His name is Pixi and he is 8 years old. He is black and white, and he has yellow eyes and a little cute nose. I love him soooo much, I can't stand it sometimes. But he is very shy to strangers, so if you come to my place, I'm not sure that you can pet him. So don't use your money on a stupid book, it's boring and a waste of time. Buy a cat instead. They are so cute. I'm a huge catfan, and the best thing is that HE IS MINE!
By the way...........don't buy a dog.......they are so ugly.....especially the little ones.......and if you GOT a dog call it Bruiser, and if it can't accept it, throw it out.....it's trash and in the way...........BUY A CAT!!!!!!!!!
