Summary: Pass the Principles of Marketing CLEP with points to spare
Comment: Buy this book, study it for a couple of weeks (I studied for maybe 12 hours total), and take the practice exams. If you've passed the practice exams by a decent margin, you should be ready to go. I'm definitely not a business whiz, yet I came in scoring in the top 1 percentile using this book. Note: while there WILL be a few questions with terminology or subject matter not directly covered in this guide, this book for the most part will equip you to deal with these questions if you have good test taking skills (able to recognize concepts via context, etc). REA and the authors have done an exceptional job.

Summary: Best Review book you can find for Marketing CLEP
Comment: I just finished taking my CLEP exam this morning an recieved a 65 when I needed a 50 to pass. The only study material I used was this book. I studied it for a week, and took all the practice exams and reviewed the anwswers with the explinations in the back. There where a few questions on internet marketing on the test, but most of it was common sense. One question on the test was this "How do marketing companies rate the success of banner ads on websites" and out of the five answers they provided one was the most obvious "click-throughput" the rest where just stupid responses like "the banners size and color". Using a text book for this CLEP is over kill, and it might hinder your success, because this book sticks to the facts and the must know material. I highly recommend this book for the Marketing CLEP, if you only study this book like I have you still have a easy chance at passing this exam. Good luck :)

Summary: Good resource for CLEP
Comment: For the CLEP:Principles of Marketing, I studied mostly from this book, and to some extent from Barron's Business Review-Marketing.
The book is useful because :
- it covers almost all the topics needed for study
- the questions are similar ( difficulty level, type , etc.)
to the actual test questions
- the explanations to the questions are helpful in understanding
the topics
Some drawbacks are :
- The study matter/chapters are too brief ( the questions and
the answers sort of compensate for that )
- Internet/e-commerce is left out
Overall, this book would definitely help in passing the CLEP exam. I took mine yesterday and got 74.
