Summary: Excellent book
Comment: Bob Lee and Gordon Wheeler have compiled a wonderfully insightful book about shame as it exists in our American culture. With chapters submitted by a number of creative individuals, there are articles (among others on) shame and homosexuality; male-male relationships; social class systems; and chronic illness.
This book has made a significant impact on my work as a therapist and consultant. I would encourage every therapist and consultant to read this book.
Rating: 5
Summary: Intelligent and practical.
Comment: An excellent book. Shines new light on a dark subject, and uses the Gestalt model to make interpersonal shame dynamics more understandable. This book had a notable impact on my clinical work.
