Summary: Elucidated Evangelism
Comment: This book is good for its intentions, but only that. Comfort only talks about how to approach evangelism and get lasting results. It doesn't talk about how to evangelize or express yourself in doing it, but rather the misdirecting of evangelizing. But that's o.k. because- to talk about anything else would take another book. Comfort makes his goal in the ceasing of obscured evangelism. He show that it is important to show others the result of not having God in our lives in the end instead of assuring happiness (which it doesn't bring [but brings joy]) to people if they except Jesus as their savior. This is because- if they are already happy it wouldn't make sense to put restrictions of God's law in their life, if they get the same results but more limitations. So he talks about how they need to be warned of the problems they will have if they don't have Jesus to rescue them in their afterlife. Throughout the book he uses one main parable to put you in the situation of the one being evangelized to.

Summary: Superb
Comment: This book is superb. As with most of Rays books it is easy to read and funny. It exposes a common serious problem of "easy prayerism" which is so common today. And focuses the need for proper biblical salvation rather than just calling on Jesus for life enhancement. At the end of the book there are a few good ideas for evangelism and motivates oneself to do more in evangelism.

Summary: No sermon I've ever heard compares with this book!!!
Comment: I first heard this sermon 2 years ago. It fired me up more than anything else I've ever heard. Ray knows the scriptures and explains the gospel so clearly and powerfully, I felt like I was hearing it for the first time. If you are a Christian who is wondering why people are "coming to Christ" but then falling away, this book will explain why. It will also teach you how to clearly share the gospel the way it was preached in Jesus' day. Get ready to see the sharp two edged sword (Hebrews 4:12) in action!!! I highly recommend this book to all Christians.
