Summary: Pyramus and Thisbe
Comment: Essentially the original Rome and Juliet. Two star-crossed lovers who live in adjoining apartments decide to elope. Pyramus takes his life when he mistakingly thinks his true love was eaten by a lion. Thisbe takes her own life soon after, and lo and behold they die together in love. This book is only worth reading as a companion to Shakespeare's a Midsummer's nights dream to explain the "play" within the play. A classic theme, perhaps the first of its kind... but a non-worthwhile read if you the story of Romeo and juliet. This Story also offers an interesting explanation of why mulberries are blood red instead of their " orignal natural" white.
