Summary: Not his best work, but good
Comment: I'm a big fan of Larry Levis' work, so I decided to read one of his earlier works. I didn't like this book as much as Winter Stars or Elegy, but it was admirable. These poems blend events and people together creating eerie mystical scenes that will stay with the reader for a long time. His poems are better developed in his later work although the buds are here in his early stuff.
