Summary: A Classic
Comment: This is truly one of the best books I have ever read. The story (mostly true to history) tells of three kingdoms, all of whom are warring to replace the fading Han Dynasty. There is the kingdom of Wei, ruled by the ambitious Cao Cao and his sons, which controls the northern heartlands. There is the kingdom of Wu, ruled by the Sun clan, which controls the easily defended southeast territory. Finally, there is the Kingdom of Shu, which seeks to restore the Han. It is ruled by the noble Liu Xuande, his two oath brothers, and the brilliant general Zhuge Liang. These three kingdoms battle and negotiate as they decide the fate of China...

Summary: Proofreading disaster
Comment: The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is an incredible classic of the East Asian tradition and I was very much looking forward to perusing it at leisure. However, I was very dissapointed to find that Tuttle's 2002 republication of Brewitt-Taylor's translation is rife with English grammatical and spelling errors. Very unprofessional.

Summary: Well...all's fair in war and...Romance?
Comment: Ronance of the Three Kingdom is a book about post Han-Dynasty China with rival rulers vying for power...before I get into this let me tell you...this book is NOT for the easy reader...the whole thing is like...1500 pages long. If you are the type to want to read this, it is a great historical fiction (its not 100% true to history) which entertains you to the last words. Tales of great rulers, valiant warriors, and calculating strategists tell the tale of an era of war.
