Comment: This is a book about my paternal grandmother. She was an amazing woman who immigrated from Sicily early this century, found Christ in "Little Italy" on Chicago's west side, was persecuted, but persisted in her love for her neighbors and for her Lord. She bucked authorities at almost every turn, and influenced the lives of hundreds of people both directly and indirectly through her children. The book is intended for young teens, but provides interesting vignettes of life in the Chicago of the 20s.
