Summary: Excellent Book!
Comment: Excellent book to show the basics and mechanics of Bruce Lee's fighting style (Jeet Kune Do). Currently taking JKD myself, this book has helped me tremendously in learning the "details" of such basic things like the basic JKD stance, jab, cross, uppercut, side-step, etc. as well as training. I feel it's an excellent book if you wish to learn more about Lee's fighting style. Other books I'd recommend based on his fighting style would be the rest of this series, as well as "The Bruce Lee Library" series by John Little. The "Tao Of Jeet Kune Do" is also an excellent book that includes his own personal notes and thoughts about his fighting art.

Summary: martial arts master.
Comment: this book really does stand up to the standards. it teaches you how to train yourself with little preparation. this book follows other BRUCE LEEs FIGHTING METHOD books and each one is really good. i do kung-fu but jeet kune do, i find much better as it is relaxed. this book starts you off so that u then can go on and read the others like, skill in techniques and advanced techniques. i really do recommend this book to start off with if you want to become quite a skilled fighter. i am only 13 but i find bruce lee very interesting and his books even more. i hope this review helps you

Summary: The Fighting Method Series Captures Bruce Lee
Comment: Mito Uyehara was the founder and publisher of Black Belt magazine. Mito actually took privates from Bruce in his office according to staff legend. Mito also gave Bruce plenty of exposure in Black Belt, but the books in this series, Bruce Lee's Fighting Methods, are the true legacy of that relationship. Mito was very protective of Bruce's image and his admiration for him is as clear as the many photographs in these books.

Of course, Bruce Lee was always changing his methods and ideas about training. To what degree he would have stood behind this material some 40-years later has been the subject of much debate. The closest thing to a modern version of this series is How to Master Bruce Lee's Fighting Style by Lee student Joe Lewis, who credits much of his success to principles he learned while working with Bruce Lee.

But, "never take your eyes off the finger, or you will miss a great book for any Bruce Lee fan."
