Comment: John G. Lake's ministry was a shining example of faith in action.
Lake's successful prescription for healing can be found in THE JOHN G. LAKE SERMONS. His habit of repeating the principles of his teaching makes the book fairly easy to understand. Lake continuously stresses that the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus can keep us free from disease. He considers Divine Healing to be a matter of faith and the Grace of God. The Spirit of God is as tangible as electricity and is available to all who accept Jesus Christ as personal lord and healer. It is more important to trust in God than it is to try to get a healing.
According to Lake, healings were numerous during the first four centuries of the church before the reign of Emperor Constantine. The gifts of the Holy Spirit were revived during the reformation because of Martin Luther's influence and his emphasis on faith.

Comment: If you're just looking for a light sample of Brother Lake's messages, this is the book for you. However, if you'd like something more substantial, I highly recommend "John G. Lake: The Complete Collection of His Life Teachings" by Roberts Liardon (Compiler). For little more than what you'll pay for this, you can get a 1000+ page volume of nearly everything ever transcribed for or written by Brother Lake.
This book is a classic, however, it's touched so many, long before Liardon compiled his volume, and I prefer to have a copy in my library. You will, too.

Summary: The real thing
Comment: The first time I heard about this book was through a friend who told me that for a certain amount of time after reading it-something like 3 years-he did not even catch a cold. I thought to myself, "If only I could find that book, what good could it do me too!" Thank God for Amazon! I logged on to the internet and started searching and found it. I found it helped me walk in divine healing and gave some interesting insights. It's been a year and I was in perfect health for at least 5 months after reading it! So hey, buy, read, and apply and see if Jesus isn't the same yesterday, today and forever.
