Comment: Hi, I'm Kate Holmes, the author of this manual and many other how-to books on the resale and consignment industry. I'm thrilled that TGtbT gets reviews like "this is the resale bible!" and "the best invention since the hanger". Currently (Spring 2004), I am offering the manual on my web site at www.tgtbt.com in 3-hole-drilled unbound version.

Why? Well, the professionally bound version was a sell out, and I was PLANNING to retire. But resalers old and new got really upset, so I reissued the manual in a simple format. PROBLEM IS that there are thieves in the world who xerox my 200+ page book and sell it on various popular web sites. That's theft of intellectual property.

Comment: If planning or already own a consignment shop, this book is a have to, and worth every penny. It contains basic idea and ways to make the plan fit any scale of business. After 8 years of business I still pick up the book as reference and for ideas.

Summary: Wonderful and Informative book
Comment: This is a great book for anyone who owns a consignment shop, or who is thinking about opening one. It covers in detail all stages of planning, finding a location,arranging the store, tracking consignments, advertising, marketing, employees, and more. The book is very well written, easy to read, and nicely laid out. It has lots of helpful hints. Nice appendix with lots of additional resources. This book was well worth the high price. If you are a store owner, this will pay for itself in no time!
