Summary: A Fun Wisp of Craziness
Comment: From the "Pale Fire" school of comedy comes this really crazy story told from the point of view of a supercilious academic foot fetishist who hates sex and thinks himself superior to everyone. As he describes his favorite island paradise (with its perfectly-footed goddess, Mbagulu), the book, which is supposed to be a travel guide, gradually goes to pieces along with the narrators link with reality. Really amusing, if slight. One reviewer said about it, "This book is no good for anything but reading!" (At 68 pages, he was expecting something substantial?) Frothy but fun, and there's nothing else quite like it
