Customer Reviews

Rating: 5
Summary: Highly Recommended Reading!
Comment: "I have read many books about screenwriting including The Screenwriters Bible. Screen & Stage Marketing Secrets has so much information you need to study it. It's a great tool. Anyone who plans to write screenplays should read this book." - Frank Webb

Rating: 5
Summary: I Was Surprised How Much I Learned!
Comment: I was surprised to discover many things I was doing wrong! 'Screen & Stage Marketing Secrets' is the only book for writers to insure query letters and scripts are submitted professionally. The book absolutely increases the impact of your query letters, log lines and script writing in a powerful way. You will be taken seriously by agents and production companies and experience much less rejection! I highly recommend this book to novice and experienced writers breaking into the business of screen writing. You will certainly not find this valuable marketing information in other screen writing books!

Rating: 1
Summary: Look closely at other reviews...
Comment: It seems rather odd that the overwhelming majority of reviews (all of which award this book 5 stars) are anonymous postings from Livingston, Texas. A quick internet search reveals that the author, James Russell, lives in Livingston. In fact, one review for this book is written by a "James Russell" from Livingston, though the review states that this "fine book revealed many errors in my scripts and submission procedures. This is the book that can open the door for you, as it has for me." It seems clear that Mr. Livingston is anonlymously writing reviews for his own book and giving it five stars to boost its ratings. If the book were really as good as he claims it is, one wonders why it would be necessary to falsely boost the ratings. Interestingly, a search on Amazon of James Russell's other books, such as those on trapshooting display the same tendency: many laudatory 5-star reviews from Livingston, TX, including some from the author, who claims to be a newcomer to trapshooting. Strange indeed!
