Summary: A neat, interesting book
Comment: This book tells a number of stories about all kinds of bizarre aspects of Colorado history. There are ghost stories, tales of murder, mysteries of the supernatural, and other things. Among the stories it tells are Alferd Packer, Bridey Murphy, a number of different ghost stories, UFO tales, and such.
Though Colorado isn't especially known for having a colorful history of this kind, the author goes through the "annals of history" to dig up a bunch of intriguing, colorful mysteries. The author tells the stories in a very compelling fashion. - many of them would make excellent campfire tales. He also puts an historical spin on the older stories.
Although some are familiar (those dealing with UFOs and cattle mutilations in particular), he's able to make these tales sound fresh, new and interesting. A highly recommended book for all who are interested in supernatural phenomena or Colorado history.
