Summary: Review of Sensory Secrets
Comment: I found Catherine Schneider's Sensory Secrets an easy read. It held my interest and was written in language that a lay person can understand. This book opened my mind to new ways of perceiving my child's behavior. Maybe the temper tanturm my child exhibited was actually a cry of too much sensory stimulation. Sensory Secrets has provided me with steps to take to help my child. These suggestions include touch, smell, taste, color, etc. I found the Note area on each page useful. I plan to give this book to a friend of mine who recently gave birth. It is a must read for new parents.

Summary: It's no secret!
Comment: It's no secret that "Sensory Secrets: How to jump-start learning in children" is a great resource for parents or teachers dealing with children with autisim. It is an eye appealing, easy to read book with many ideas on how to allow children to achieve success through sensory intergration. Being a high school autistic teacher, I was able to incoorporate ideas from this book in my classroom with great success. I recommend this book as a wonderful guide to sensory intergration.

Summary: If you don't have this one, you're library is not complete!!
Comment: Great book, very very good!!! You must have this one for your resource shelves. Therapists need the inventory for use in practice. What a great communication tool for parents, teachers and others to communicate with therapists. It helps parents to 'talk therapy talk,' just by filling in the inventory. The sensory secret checklist is great too. If you put this one on top of your list, you will recommend it too. Easy reading, with life changing information!!!
