Comment: This is an excellent reference book for the movie film serials that were the suspense 'soaps' of yesteryear. It is not the sort of volume you would read from cover to cover, but it would seem to cover virtually every sound serial released from 1929 to 1956. The films are set out in alphabetical order within each year, beginning with 1929. Thus to find a specific film you will need to know its year of release (or use the index at the back of the book). Details, including a cast list and a brief synopsis, are given for each film, and there are a generous smattering of pictures throughout the book. What more could you want? 336 pages full of useful information that will help you to know about this amazing genre of artwork. An absolute MUST for the serial collector.
