Summary: Great all-round reference on the GI
Comment: I originally bought this book when it was new; the photographs are all black and white, typical of the reference books from the early 80's, but the lack of color photography doesn't detract from the wealth of information about the clothing and equipment worn by American soldiers and Marines in WWII. My favorite thing about this book is that it also has a section on captured German and Japanese war trophies. More than 20 years later and I'm still trying to get another copy - that's how good it is!
