Summary: A great reference, not just for the youth
Comment: I got myself a copy of this book after deciding to get one as a gift for a young niece headed off to college. This book has tons of useful (and money saving!) tips - including simple "recipes" for household cleaners, laundry information, how to choose produce, and basic recipes so even people who supposedly don't cook will be able to have a nice meal instead of Dominos night after night. This is a great, simple, and very useful book.

Comment: I bought this book for a college student away from home for the first time and she loved it. So I ordered a copy for my
brother too. After looking at I wouldn't mind a copy myself.
It has many practical easy recipes, great information on food storage and preparation as well as valuable laundry tips. This book is a great gift for anyone living on their own even if they have been doing it for awhile.

Summary: New Brides or College Students!
Comment: I got this book when I left home several years ago and it was invaluable. My brother just graduated high school and is preparing to go to college, and this was one of his gifts. Particularly for many boys who may not have learned much about basic cooking, laundry, stain removal...It's a must-have!
